Kate

Look what I did! Just like Joshua in War Games, I’m learning.

Can you believe this woman is 34? That’s what US Magazine told me last night. 34. What?

Oh, shoot. That didn’t really work. Go to the second picture in the gallery.

Ok, and whoah.

New Project Runway tonight, yes? We’re buried under three million feet of snow here in Madison. Is spring on its way?

This is from a restaurant in Alma, Wisco. Not that I’ve been there, but I’ve been on the internet and that’s close enough. Go Kate and Gracie! Though I guess the restaurant is actually named after the owners’ moms. Go moms! So, it’s the 29th…Three days until the new year…Anyone have any resolutions they’d like to air? I’ll start. I’d like to eat more fruits and vegetables and I’d like to have a plant that’s mine that I tend to and that grows up happy and healthy. Of course there are a billion other things that I’d like to change about myself, but I think starting with those two (fruits & vegs are one thing, thank you very much) is enough for today.

This is a picture of my mom’s dog, Clancy. He’s a little goofy, but mostly loveable. I have it on good authority, though, that he’s on probation at daycare and that today is the day of reckoning. Stay tuned for more on that.

So, I need to go into work, but I also want to run some errands. To deal with all of this, I will start my day with a modified Heatherism:* an episode of The Wire.

*When facing a long list of to-dos, or just one, Heather often suggests that one start out with a ten-minute nap. This approach has gotten many of us through troubled times.

Happy holidays, friends! This holiday season feels a little rough, but I’m muddling through. I hope you’re all doing well. It hasn’t helped that I missed PR on Wednesday, though I did have Gennafun instead, so that wasn’t so bad. But every time I’ve tried to catch the Runway since Wed, I’ve ended up trapped in Orange County. I admit I sort of feel the show, but I don’t understand how they’re “housewives” when all of them seem to work and some of them are single.

Anyway, I wish everyone a very merry and safe end of 2007 and hope that those that can, stop by my NYE festa. And maybe those who can’t be there can give me some suggestions on how to throw one of these. So far, these are my ideas: drinks, music, friends. What am I missing? I’ll report back on whether this brainiac idea of mine was successful. At least Gracie and I have NYE plans this year!

Also, if you get a chance, check out the films slated for Sundance 2008. I’m fairly petrified, but excited, about my January adventure.
